New evidence emerge into FCPS knowingness of budget shortfall

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The last few months have come with lots of drama and discovery for Fayette County Public Schools, which is balancing budgetary issues and student success.

That includes when district budget director Ann Sampson-Grimes was placed on administrative leave by superintendent Dr. Demetrus Liggins, citing “inappropriate conduct.”

In return, she filed a lawsuit against the district in which the school board hired a private investigator to look into the claims made by Sampson-Grimes.
