Semi crash on Newtown Pike in Lexington leaves 1 dead, 1 critically injured

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — One person is dead and another is fighting for their life after a late Wednesday night crash in Lexington.

The Lexington Police Department told FOX 56 that officers were dispatched around 10 p.m. alongside the Lexington Fire Department to a crash on I-75 near Newtown Pike.

At the scene, authorities learned a semi truck had hit a car. The crash left one person dead at the scene and another with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck wasn’t injured, and the crash is still under investigation…
