Deputies Recover Over $12,000 in Stolen Tools in Laurel County

LONDON, Ky. – More than $12,000 worth of stolen tools have been recovered in southern Laurel County following a joint effort between the Laurel County and Clark County Sheriff’s Offices.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root reported Friday that the recovery was made off West City Dam Road. The tools had been reported stolen in two separate burglary cases originating in Clark County.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, information was developed on the location of the stolen property, leading Laurel County deputies to the site. The rightful owners were notified and traveled from Clark County to retrieve their tools.
