Suspect in 2022 Lexington shooting investigation arrested in Chicago

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Years after allegedly shooting his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his children in the leg and cutting off an ankle monitor, a Lexington fugitive was apprehended in Chicago.

According to court documents, just after 6 a.m. on Aug. 27, 2022, officers with the Lexington Police Department were dispatched to the 1100 block of Briarwood Circle when a woman had been shot.

The victim told law enforcement that her ex-boyfriend, 35-year-old Devin Lovette, had allegedly shot at the outside of her house before walking in through the front door, throwing her on the floor, and shooting her in the left leg with her three children in the home.
