2nd suspect in late August Lexington shooting arrested

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Anazjae Patton, the second suspect in a Chestnut Ridge shooting that left an 18-year-old injured on Aug. 20, was arrested on Friday.

According to court documents, Jaycion Higgins and Patton, both 18, were walking with another teenager when they received a text message from a minor in the group, telling them to “shoot the thriller.”

According to an arrest warrant, the victim also told investigators that Patton, Higgins, and the other minor had seen a group message on their phones before surrounding him, when the other minor allegedly pulled out a gun and shot him in the stomach.

A separate complaint was reportedly also submitted to the other minor’s court-designated worker for first-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a minor – first offense…
