LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A second person has been arrested in connection with a Lexington shooting that happened in September on Winburn Drive.
Jermaine Shanks, 20, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 16, and has been charged with:
- First-degree assault
- Three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment
- First-degree criminal mischief
- Tampering with physical evidence
- Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
The shooting happened on Sept. 18, leaving a man with life-threatening injuries.

The first person of interest, Jon’Tay Mattingly, was arrested a day after the shooting. He has since pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
Shanks was booked into the Fayette County Detention Center and, according to jail records, is being held on a $75,000 cash bond…
