CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — A typical Tuesday morning turned tragic on Sept. 3, 2024. Fifteen-year-old McKenna Letcher, a freshman at George Rogers Clark High School, was crossing Veterans Memorial Parkway in Clark County when she was hit and killed by a school bus.
Letcher’s mother filed a lawsuit the following month, on Oct. 18, against the bus driver, Paul Hollon, and the district’s Director of Logistics, Daren Snell, who, according to the suit, also oversees transportation services for Clark County Public Schools.

According to the lawsuit, Hollon was driving the bus with nine elementary-aged children on board when the crash happened.
It alleges he was streaming videos on his cell phone while approaching a red light at Veterans Memorial Parkway and Ironworks Road. The suit said Hollon failed to stop, hitting McKenna. He then attempted to brake, swerving to the left and running over her body…
