LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Two hot-button issues turned Monday’s Fayette County Public Schools board meeting into a 3.5-hour marathon that got heated at times.
Tensions were high from the start, as board member Monica Mundy requested that a long-discussed topic be added to the agenda.
“I motion that the board add an item to the action portion of tonight’s agenda to consider and vote on a resolution in support of collective bargaining for district employees,” Mundy said.
