Judge orders electronic monitoring for ex-Kentucky student accused of concealing birth of son

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — On Wednesday, a judge added electronic monitoring to the home confinement of a former University of Kentucky student-athlete, who is accused of hiding the body of an infant she’d given birth to in late August.

On Oct. 29, an order was entered that added electronic monitoring to Laken Snelling’s house arrest at her father’s home in Jefferson City, Tennessee.

Snelling, 21, pleaded not guilty to abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and concealing the birth of an infant. This after court documents said Snelling’s roommates found her baby boy “cold to the touch” in a trash bag in her closet on Aug. 27 at the Park Avenue home.
