Lexington mechanic helps woman continue her cross-country journey to honor thousands of veterans

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — What started as a cross-country mission to honor fallen veterans nearly came to a halt for Dawn Kramer until a dedicated mechanic stepped in to save the day.

Kramer, who began her journey in Michigan, is traveling to Nevada, collecting American flags to place on veterans’ graves.

Her “Flags Across America” mission was inspired years ago when she visited her father’s resting place on Veterans Day and found it without a flag.

Since then, she’s vowed to make sure no veteran is forgotten as she takes on what she calls “One Woman’s Mission”…
