Lexington food drive proves successful as donation barrels fill citywide

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A citywide food drive launched this week by Lexington city agencies has generated strong community support amid ongoing uncertainty about federal food assistance programs.

The Big Give Food Drive began Monday with blue donation barrels placed at more than two dozen locations across the city, including fire stations, law enforcement offices, and other city buildings. God’s Pantry Food Bank and Lexington’s Family Care Center are receiving the donations.
