LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The City of Lexington activated its Emergency Winter Weather Plan on Sunday night in response to dropping temperatures.
Under the plan, the Lexington-Fayette County Homelessness Response System declared a “White Flag Day,” and emergency day centers and overnight shelters will expand capacity and operate overflow beds wherever possible.
Updates will be provided on social media, and organizations that work with the homeless will be notified.
