Kentucky was awful tonight, can’t spinzone it, anything. It was bad from start to finish and took a run to make it a 4-point game late before Jaland Lowe missed the front end of a 1-and-1. But the disgusting part? Seeing Louisville fans act like they just won a national title

There are fans hugging and crying in the Yum! Center what a moment.

Pat Kelsey is currently in the student section, high-fiving every student he can reach. First Louisville win in the series in five years, huge moment for the fan base.

Must have been a heck of a celebration in the locker room. Pat Kelsey dislocated a finger.

I get it. Kentucky basketball is everyone’s national title. This rivalry is as one-sided as it gets. So, I know Louisville fans don’t know what it’s like to get a win in this series. It’s why I hate this game. If Kentucky wins, it’s just another game. It’s what we’re supposed to do every year. If we lose? It’s the end of the world in the Commonwealth. It’s Louisville fans and coaches and players doing this. It’s hard to celebrate all the time when you lead the series 40-18 and it took the game getting moved to the earliest it’s ever been played, on their homecourt and missing a future top-10 pick for them to get the win. But, hey, go ahead and celebrate. It’s the biggest win for the program in probably 15 years – I don’t see a banner for 2013, so not sure that season happened.

And, hey, you know what, credit to Louisville for getting Mikel Brown and Ryan Conwell. They were the difference tonight. But, if you think I’m worried about Kentucky you’re sadder than the fans crying in the stands. Otega Oweh is making his way back from 10 weeks away due to injury. Pope is getting his rotations figured out and Jayden Quaintance is still coming. I’m not scared of a loss on November 11…
