FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — Gov. Andy Beshear announced on Saturday morning that the team responsible for bringing partial SNAP payments to Kentucky families earlier in the week worked through Friday night to make Kentucky one of the first states to process full benefits for recipients.
State leaders wrote in a Nov. 15 press release that eligible Kentuckians should see complete SNAP benefits loaded onto their cards as soon as the same day.
Beshear said nearly 600,000 Bluegrass residents had relied on SNAP to budget groceries and reminded the public that Team Kentucky would be hosting a food drive through Nov. 21 at the main state office buildings in Frankfort and at the L&N Building in Louisville.

“Despite the President’s refusal to release these benefits, Kentucky has remained committed to doing everything we can to be there for our neighbors,” Beshear wrote. “Our government should fight hunger—not cause it—and we’re committed to leading with our values and doing what’s right.”…
