LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Lexington is stockpiling more salt and buying new snow trucks after January’s devastating winter storm left the city struggling to clear streets for nearly two weeks.
The city has built a new salt dome and filled it with more salt than was used last year. Three new tanker trucks have been authorized for purchase, and the most recent fiscal budget approved money for additional snow plow contractors.
