1 charged, 1 hospitalized in Lexington after alleged Greyhound bus assault

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A man was taken to a Lexington hospital on Thursday morning, and another man has been accused of assaulting him on a Greyhound bus after he allegedly threatened to attack someone on the next stop.

Officials with the Lexington Police Department told FOX 56 News that around 1:42 a.m. on Nov. 20, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West New Circle Road in response to reports of a fight on a Greyhound bus. When they arrived, they found a man who’d allegedly been assaulted.

The victim said the driver of the bus had been warned by several passengers who accused Anthony Stephan Lee, 34, of being drunk and making threats, claiming he’d assault someone on the next stop. The victim said that Lee allegedly carried out the threat and left him with a concussion and a knot on his forehead.

Lee was arrested and charged with menacing, first and second offenses of alcohol intoxication in a public place, fourth-degree assault with minor injury, and third-degree terroristic threatening.
