Kentucky parole board revokes release of convicted child killer

FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Kentucky Parole Board ordered Ronald Exantus to remain in custody on Thursday.

Ronald Exantus, the man who was sentenced to 20 years in prison in connection with the 2018 death of 6-year-old Logan Tipton in his Versailles home, was arrested in Florida only a week after being released on good behavior.

He reportedly failed to register as a convicted felon and was taken back to Kentucky, where lawmakers urged the Kentucky Parole Board to reconsider his release.

“Mr. Exantus’s actions in Florida represent a direct violation of his reentry, including failure to abide by the law in another jurisdiction and an apparent attempt to conceal his violent criminal history from the community in which he moved. This deliberate concealment demonstrates a disregard for the safety of others and an ongoing risk to the public,” the Kentucky General Assembly wrote in a letter to the board…
