Lexington man allegedly left woman concussed after assault

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Lexington man was arrested on Thursday after allegedly attacking a woman in September, leading to a hospital visit and concussion diagnosis.

Court documents show that Lexington officers were told to call the victim around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, to discuss her alleged assault at the hands of 26-year-old Austin Wayne Brown.

The woman reportedly told police that around 10 p.m. on Sept. 12, Brown was arguing with her and allegedly lunged at her, saying she threw Tupperware at him in retaliation. She said Brown then tackled her and punched her several times in the head.

The victim told law enforcement she couldn’t get Brown off of her due to their size difference, but was eventually able to get up and lock herself in a nearby room, at which point she said Brown packed his things and left…
