State investigating incident where child with autism wandered away from FCPS school

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Officials with the state of Kentucky are looking into an incident where a boy with autism wandered away from a Fayette County elementary school.

On Monday, two Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control officers were responding to a call when they found the boy near a dangerous stretch of New Circle Road. The officers kept the boy safe until police arrived.
