Court records tie violent Lexington ‘Hot Boyz’ gang to armed robbery, kidnapping

RICHMOND, Ky. (FOX 56) — Richmond police have arrested a woman officers claim was complicit in a July armed robbery and kidnapping.

The search for the three responsible continues, but court records show that officers believe it’s tied to a dangerous Lexington gang: the “Hot Boyz.”

On July 27, 2023, Richmond police responded to reports of a robbery at apartments on Mallory Court. Upon arrival, they met a couple who claimed three people dressed in black had tied them up and demanded money.

Court documents state that it began when the male victim was downstairs, and three people came through the garage door demanding money. He told officers they proceeded to tie his hands with tape, and when he said he didn’t have any money, they hit him in the chest. Luckily, he was able to escape…
