LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Former state representative and two-time Senate candidate Charles Booker announced on Wednesday morning that he’d be running to replace Mitch McConnell in 2026.
The Louisville native had addressed community speculation that he might be running on Nov. 26 through a post on X, saying he was considering pursuing the soon-to-be-empty Senate seat.
“I know the status quo is crushing us,” Booker said. At the same time, the movement of regular people standing up to hate, corruption, and big money greed is growing every day. If we lock arms, I know this moment is ours.”…
