Lexington breaks ground on mixed-income Railyard development

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – An acre of vacant land off Delaware Avenue will soon be home to 32 Lexington families.

Developers, city leaders, and state stakeholders celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday morning for “The Railyard.” It’s a mixed-income and mixed-use infill community being built on a former industrial site on the east side of the city.

With the financial help of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government and Kentucky state programs, developer Will Hanraham said he’s excited to give back to the city he loves…
