WKYT says farewell to Jim Caldwell

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Jim Caldwell concluded his television news career Friday with his final broadcast on WKYT News at Noon.

Caldwell served viewers across Eastern and Central Kentucky for 24 years, including time at WYMT in Hazard before joining WKYT in Lexington.

In 2001, Caldwell joined WYMT as chief weathercaster. He became a member of the American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association in March 2003 and earned his Broadcast Meteorology Certificate from Mississippi State University…
