Last night was one of my least favorite nights of the year. Louisville playing any SEC team, is a nightmare. You want every SEC school to lose but I will never find myself wanting to see a Louisville win. That’s a promise. Even more insane was Jimmy Dykes on the broadcast saying Kentucky fans were cheering for Louisville because of John Calipari. Uh, yeah that ain’t happening. We hate Louisville more than any other program. That’s the whole point of a rivalry.
Now it’s what happened in the press conference that has my attention.
John Calipari asked if beating Louisville still has extra meaning to him:”No. I love the program. Louisville’s fine with me. We played ’em a bunch, and beat ’em more than we lost.”pic.twitter.com/givIWM5DFC

This is just vintage Calipari. I was in the Calipari world for 15 years, I’m well-versed in Calipari press conference talk. He’s not a dumb guy. He knows we lost to Louisville and look like shit right now. He got his marquee win so far in the year over a team that he knows well. So what’s he do? Take the shot. It’s what he’s always done and what he’ll always do. When he’s feeling good, he knows how to twist a knife a little bit. This is a direct shot at us and you can’t convince me otherwise…
