Actor from ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ struck, killed crossing Manhattan street: Police

(NEXSTAR) – Wenne Alton Davis, who made appearances in shows like “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and “New Amsterdam,” died early this week after being struck by a vehicle in Manhattan, police have confirmed.

Born Wendy Davis, the 60-year-old actor was struck by a vehicle in Midtown Manhattan shortly before 9 p.m. ET on Monday. The vehicle was turning onto Broadway from West 53rd Street when NYPD said it hit Davis, a pedestrian who was “in the vicinity” of a crosswalk.

Authorities said Davis “sustained severe trauma to the head and body” and was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai West.
