Lexington crews investigating early morning barn fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Crews with the Lexington Fire Department sprang into action early Thursday morning in response to reports of a barn fire on the northern outskirts of town.

According to Battalion Chief Derek Roberts with the LFD, crews were dispatched around 1:40 a.m. on Dec. 18 to the area of Seeger Lane just off Ironworks Pike.

First responders found the barn covered in flames when they arrived. They were able to extinguish the fire but are still on scene checking for potential hot spots.

No injuries to people or animals have been reported. An investigation into the cause of the barn fire is still underway…
