Kentucky tobacco retailers rush to meet new licensing deadline

KENTUCKY (WKYT) – Kentucky retailers are scrambling to comply with a new state tobacco licensing law as a Jan. 1 deadline approaches.

Kentucky lawmakers passed Senate Bill 100 in March, but the application portal didn’t open until mid-November. Many retailers say technical glitches and confusing requirements are hampering their applications.
