LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Federal prosecutors said the killing of a Lexington man two years ago was a targeted assassination carried out by a criminal street gang, and now eight people have been federally indicted in connection with the case.
Court documents state that 28-year-old Kristopher Lewis was shot and killed in September 2023. Prosecutors say Lewis was a key witness in a drug trafficking and money laundering case against Rollie Deshawn Lamar, an alleged member of the West End Hot Boyz street gang.

According to federal records, Lewis arrived at his job at Koch Air on Trade Street just after 8 a.m. on Sept. 29, 2023. As he got out of his car, investigators say three masked individuals exited a dark-colored sedan and opened fire, killing him.
