NICHOLASVILLE — Charles Houp has spent a lifetime serving his country and his community, a commitment now recognized with his induction into the Kentucky Veterans Hall of Fame.
Houp, a Jessamine County native, was among 25 veterans selected statewide for the honor, which recognizes both military service and post-service contributions. Since the Hall of Fame’s creation in 2014, fewer than 300 veterans have been inducted.
“I was thrilled,” Houp said. “Very few people get inducted into the Kentucky Veterans Hall of Fame. I was one of the lucky ones.”…
