WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) – Instead of spending Christmas under the glow of a Christmas tree, four-year-old Mylo Hollingshed of Winchester is looking to spend the holidays in a hospital room.
“Since last year, its kind of been like this every holiday. Whether its his birthday… we’ve just kind of ended up here at the hospital,” said Spanisha Hollingshed, Mylo’s mother.
Since May 2024, the family has spent only three months at home. That’s when Mylo was diagnosed with leukemia.

Mylo received a bone marrow transplant because of the leukemia, but the cells within the new tissue then began attacking the cells within his body, a condition known as graft versus host disease…
