Kentucky man accused of threatening suspect in girlfriend’s death

BEATTYVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — An Irvine man has been accused of breaking into the motel where his soon-to-be fiancée died and making threats toward the man allegedly responsible.

On June 27, 2025, Reacheal Dawson was found deceased in a motel room at the Red Roof Inn on Interstate Drive in Winchester. According to authorities, that room was rented out by Brian Epperson.

He was arrested and later charged with murder in connection with another death — the May 31 overdose of 32-year-old Kristen Morris, who was found dead inside a Powell County Airbnb.

On Dec. 26, officers returned to the Red Roof Inn after receiving complaints of a disturbance. Court records show that the motel employee told officers that Thompson had “popped the lock” on a side door after the clerk refused to rent him a room…
