‘New year, new me’: Lexington doctor shares how to lose weight healthily in 2026

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The mindset of “New Year, new me” is one that a lot of people get as the calendar turns from one year to the next, but reinventing yourself is something that needs to be done methodically.

FOX 56 News Chief Medical Contributor Dr. Ryan Stanton said getting healthy in the new year requires a thought-out approach.

The first thing Dr. Stanton said people need to do is to know what it means to lose weight and do so in a healthy fashion because not all weight loss is the same.
