LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A driver has been taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being removed from their car by a bystander following a crash near the Paris Pike on-ramp leading to I-75 South.
Battalion Chief Derek Roberts with the Lexington Fire Department (LFD) told FOX 56 News that just before 4:20 a.m. on Jan. 7, crews were dispatched to the exit on Paris Pike in response to reports of a crash with entrapment.

When crews arrived, the driver had reportedly been taken out of the car by a bystander “due to an engine compartment fire,” Roberts said. The driver was then taken to a local emergency room with life-threatening injuries.
