3 pets killed, 2 displaced in Lexington house fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Lexington Fire Department battled a structure fire on Wednesday afternoon.

Officials told FOX 56 that crews arrived at the 2600 block of Woodhill Drive at 4:50 p.m. Jan. 7 to a house engulfed in flames.

Crews quickly extinguished the fire, but the house sustained significant fire and smoke damage, according to officials.

Officials told FOX 56 that three dogs were pulled from the house and were all dead, and two adults were left displaced.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, and an investigation is ongoing…
