Unsettling details emerge as 1998 cold case is finally solved

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — For nearly three decades, a Lexington family has been asking one question: Who killed Linda Rutledge?

With that answer now clear, it comes with unsettling information.

On Nov. 7, 1998, the Lexington Fire Department extinguished a fire at the Nixon Hearing Aid Center in the 100 block of Malibu Drive. Inside the building, firefighters found the body of 43-year-old Linda Rutledge.
