LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A 15-year-old FCPS student underwent surgery Thursday morning after being hit by a car while walking to school Tuesday.
Dominic Mclemore was struck by a car just before 8 a.m. Tuesday near Harrodsburg Road and Blue Ash Drive, according to Lexington Police. He was taken to UK Hospital with a broken jaw.
“My mom, she woke me up screaming, saying that my brother was in the hospital,” said Taleaha Mclemore, Dominic’s sister. “She said that he was hit by a car, and I was automatically thinking that I was going to see him bloody or dead or like with his head cracked open.”
