Snow squall brings high winds, sudden flurries to Central KY. More is in the forecast

Kentuckians experienced a snow squall Sunday that brought high winds and a flurry of snow quickly across parts of the state, including Lexington.

Roads were quickly covered around 10 a.m. Jan. 11 when the squall brought in a sudden, short-lived burst of intense snowfall. A snow squall is characterized by sudden intensity, strong winds and rapid drops in visibility.
