FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — A homicide investigation in Dalton, Georgia, led police more than 300 miles away to Franklin County.
The Dalton Fire Department was called around 5:47 a.m. on Jan. 10 to a house fire in the 300 block of Grimes Street. While searching the home, crews discovered a badly burned body, according to Dalton police.
“When our police department arrived, we believed we knew who the victim was. We still have not yet identified her, just because we have not yet been able to make a positive identification, because of the condition of her body.
