Gov. Andy Beshear cuts ribbon at 2 of Kentucky’s medical cannabis facilities

KENTUCKY (FOX 56) — Gov. Andy Beshear and officials cut the ribbon on two of Kentucky’s medical cannabis facilities on Wednesday.

The day began in Richmond, where Beshear joined state and local officials at Natural State GreenGrass CannaCo, a Tier 3 medical cannabis cultivation facility in Madison County.

The operation was one of the largest in Kentucky and was approved to begin growing medical cannabis for licensed processors and dispensaries across the state.

Natural State GreenGrass CannaCo planned to start production in phases, eventually expanding to use all 25,000 square feet of its enclosed cultivation space.
