Lexington woman allegedly throws rock through downtown coffee shop window for 4th time

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A downtown Lexington staple is no stranger to a little broken glass.

On the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 13, A Cup of the Common Wealth posted a picture on Facebook depicting a lineup of several stones.

“People collect rocks and stones for all sorts of reasons. Us – you ask? Why we collect rocks and stones that have passed through many a window on Eastern Ave., reminding us of how quickly things can change overnight, how a community finds ways to bond, and why there’s no use to cry over broken glass,” A Cup of the Common Wealth wrote on Facebook on Tuesday night. “It’s been awhile since we had a broken window and hoping we can go much longer than a year this time around, but we’re enjoying the museum we’re curating.”

The following day, staff realized they may have spoken too soon, and a rock was hurled through the shop’s front window…
