How to prep your driveway, sidewalk before the storm hits Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Several inches of snow are expected to move into the region this weekend, and for many people, that means breaking out the shovel and getting ready for cleanup.

Local lawn care crews said a little preparation ahead of time can go a long way once the snow starts falling.

Eli Abrahim with Always Green Lawn Care says one of the best things homeowners can do is pre-treat their driveways and sidewalks one to two days before the storm arrives.

“Pre-treating does make a really big difference. It keeps the ice from bonding from surfaces, it makes it a lot easier, safer and more effective for us to remove it,” he explained…
