Lexington officials address road conditions days after winter storm

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — City leaders in Lexington are updating residents on where things stand after this weekend’s winter weather and what the next few days could look like on the roads.

Main roads were pretty much business as usual, but side roads and neighborhoods were different stories.

“Our plan is designed for basically two to four inches of snow, so we got about two inches of sleet and a quarter inch of ice, which makes it extremely difficult to treat,” director of streets and roads Rob Allen said.
