Lexington mayoral candidate says city isn’t doing enough: ‘It’s time for new ideas’

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Dozens of people went to the Annex on Monday night in Lexington to hear from a new voice in city politics.

Raquel Carter, a real estate broker, was the first person to say she would run against Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton, an announcement she made last May. Now, her candidacy is official.

Those who support her believe she can bring meaningful change.
