LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington Police Department has released new information about an officer-involved shooting that shut down part of Alumni Drive Tuesday afternoon.
According to the department’s release, officers first became aware of the suspect after a license plate reader alerted them to a vehicle connected to a man wanted on multiple felony warrants out of North Carolina. Police confirmed those warrants with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, which included charges such as first-degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation and discharging a weapon into occupied property.
