LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Authorities are carrying out an ongoing search for Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today Show host Savannah Guthrie and a Kentucky native who was allegedly abducted from her Arizona home.
According to a Feb. 4 report from The Hill, Guthrie, 84, was last seen around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday after being dropped off at her home outside Tucson before she was reported missing on Monday. She has physical limitations and can’t walk more than 50 yards on her own, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said. She also takes daily medication that could be fatal to skip.

On Tuesday, the Kentucky Kernel reported that Nancy Guthrie is from Fort Wright, Kentucky, and had been a staff member and society editor at the University of Kentucky student newspaper in 1963.
Nancy had also attended Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills, according to a Facebook post from the all-girl school’s alumnae association.
