Lexington temporary shelter sparks some community concerns

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A temporary shelter opened by the city in November to combat freezing temperatures has drawn mixed reactions from the community, with some business owners reporting safety concerns while city officials say the facility has helped more than 600 people.

The shelter at 1306 Versailles Road was established to provide more people access to a warm place to stay during cold weather. However, nearby business owners say the facility has created problems in the area.
