Clean Slate Lexington Expungement Clinic helps thousands

Lexington will host its seventh Clean Slate Lexington Expungement Clinic on Thursday, February 19, giving residents a chance to remove barriers to employment, housing, education, and voting. The clinic will take place from 1-4 p.m. at the Davis Park Workforce Center, 501 De Roode St.

“I am so proud of the positive impact our Clean Slate Lexington Expungement Clinics have had on so many in our community,” Mayor Linda Gorton said. “These clinics give people with low level, non-violent offenses a second chance to build a better future. I’m a believer in second chances.”

Since the program began in 2022, over 2,000 people have received expungement-related services, helping them move forward with new opportunities. The February 19 clinic already has 100 registered participants, but walk-ins are welcome. The event is open to Fayette County residents…
