FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — A man was charged in Frankfort on Sunday for allegedly trying to strangle a woman inside a car.
Court documents show that around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, officers with the Frankfort Police Department were dispatched to the 200 block of Beechwood Avenue in response to reports of a domestic disturbance in the area.
When officers arrived, they spoke to the victim, who said Omar Fierro, 23, was in a car with her when he allegedly became violent and strangled her, causing her to lose her breath for several seconds before hitting her several times in the head.

According to police, officers were on patrol on Sunday in the area of East Main Street when they saw a car without a license plate that matched the victim’s description of Fierro’s vehicle.
