Lexington snow pile melt‑off underway after entries close

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Some large piles of snow and ice are sticking around Lexington, and residents are using the opportunity for a little friendly competition.

“We’ve got a great big snow mound,” Chad Walker, a property owner on National Avenue, said in a Facebook video on Feb. 6. “We’ve been dealing with snow and ice like everyone else, and so we’ve decided to have a contest.”

You could win $500 in prizes for guessing when this Lexington snow pile melts

The pile, reportedly dubbed “Mount Paul,” has been a persistent facet of the parking lot behind La Petit Delicat since the Jan. 24 storm. Whoever can accurately guess when Mount Paul will finally melt will receive a set of prizes worth over $500.

With predictions locked in and comments officially closed, all that’s left now is to watch Mt. Paul slowly disappear…
