Former Ky. nonprofit chef accused of using business credit card to gamble

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) – A former chef at a Georgetown nonprofit was arrested earlier this month after police say he used a business credit card to gamble instead of buying food for the organization’s soup kitchen.

Jacob Southworth worked for the Amen House and was given the credit card to purchase food for the nonprofit’s soup kitchen, according to his criminal complaint.

Police say Southworth put $3,000 on the credit card at Red Mile and then left the nonprofit without notice.

He later told police he didn’t have the money to pay Amen House back…
